【作品説明】
自分が木彫作品に触れるきっかけになったのは民芸としての木彫だった。なんとなく出てきた今の自分の表現は誰かの作品や時代に触れ現れたものである。その背中に乗せてもらうことにした。先人の刃を通した軌跡をなぞりながらその眺めに想いを馳せる。

【アーティスト紹介】
美藤圭

彫刻家、兵庫県豊岡市在住。岐阜県飛騨高山にて10年ほど家具職人として修業したのち、彫刻家に転向。個展やグループ展等国内外で作品を発表している。2015年G.A.M展文部科学大臣賞受賞。
