「古いモノに新しいモノを掛け合わせると本当に新しいモノが生まれるのではないか？」
そんなところから株式会社家'sは始まりました。
約100年前の日本家具を
アップサイクルする活動をしてきましたが、
今回は"木彫りの熊"に焦点を当てました。
"木彫りの熊"は北海道の民芸品として、
広く親しまれてきましたが、
「その価値が少し忘れられているのでは？」
そこで、"木彫りの熊"にスポットライトを当て、
もう一度使いたくなるようにアーティストと
コラボレーションしながら商品づくりを行いました。
もともと北海道の職人が丁寧に
作りあげた商品なのでとても素敵ですが、
アートの力でより魅力を引き出しています。
いつもの空間が少しでも豊かになることを願っています。
"What could come up if we combine a new and an old? Would that be an individual style?"
This question eventually leads to an establishment of the company, yes.
Wooden Bears are well-known Hokkaido's folk crafts from around 1930's. One day, we suddenly thought, has everyone forgotten the value of the artisanal?
We have put a spot light to it, and came up with an idea to ask artists for a collaboration so that the Wooden Bears would be wanted to return to their cosy places.
We hope your space becomes more fertile by welcoming the Re-Bears.
